Culiacán

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Guardian Culiacán, our newest international initiative aimed at empowering the youth of Culiacán, Mexico through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and comprehensive support. Located in a city renowned for its rich culture of arts and sports, but also challenged by issues of drug trafficking, Guardian Culiacán aims to offer a positive alternative and a safe haven for its young people.

In Culiacán, where the allure of quick money from illegal activities tempts many young individuals, Guardian aims to intervene by providing them with opportunities that promote health, well-being, and legitimate career paths. Under the guidance of respected Academy leaders Mauro Canele Perez and Alejandro Rodarte, the program offers not just martial arts training but also mentorship and community support.

Thanks to the generous founding grant from Jigar Patel, Guardian Culiacán will kickstart its operations, covering initial expenses such as hiring a second instructor and providing essential equipment like Gis for the students. This foundational support is crucial in establishing a sustainable and impactful presence in the community.
